<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><i>  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</i></enactingFormula>
<section id="d232873e85" identifier="/us/pl/114/250/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>LAW ENFORCEMENT AVAILABILITY PAY FOR EMPLOYEES OF CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION’S AIR AND MARINE OPERATIONS.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y5c070cf1-e857-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/114/250/s1/a" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><chapeau><ref href="/us/usc/t5/s5545a/i">Section 5545a(i) of title 5, United States Code</ref>, <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y5c070cf2-e857-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/114/250/s1/a/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>apply to a pilot employed by the United States Customs Service</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>apply to any employee of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations, or any successor organization,</quotedText>”; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y5c070cf3-e857-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/114/250/s1/a/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>such pilot</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>such employee</quotedText>”.</content></paragraph>

<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y5c070cf4-e857-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/114/250/s1/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x5c070cf5-e857-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Effective date.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x5c070cf6-e857-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t5/s5545a">5 USC 5545a note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Applicability</inline>.—</heading><content>The amendments made by subsection (a) shall take effect on the first day of the first applicable pay period beginning on or after the date that is 14 days after the date of enactment of this Act.</content></subsection>
