<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><i>  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</i></enactingFormula><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x7f6cb91a-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Conservation and Recreation Act.</p></sidenote>
<section id="d252591e88" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Conservation and Recreation Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d252591e98" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>DEFINITIONS.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x7f6ce02b-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  In this Act:</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6ce02c-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s2/1" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Map</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>map</term>” means the map consisting of 6 sheets entitled “Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Proposed Wilderness Boundary”, numbered 634/80,083B, and dated November 2010.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6ce02d-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s2/2" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Secretary</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>Secretary</term>” means the Secretary of the Interior.</content></paragraph>

<section id="d252591e123" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s3" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading>SLEEPING BEAR DUNES WILDERNESS.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y7f6d2e4e-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s3/a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x7f6d2e4f-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t16/s1132">16 USC 1132 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Designation</inline>.—</heading><content>In accordance with the Wilderness Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t16/s1131/etseq">16 U.S.C. 1131 et seq.</ref>), certain land and inland water within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore comprising approximately 32,557 acres along the mainland shore of Lake Michigan and on certain nearby islands in Benzie and Leelanau Counties, Michigan, as generally depicted on the map, is designated as wilderness and as a component of the National Wilderness Preservation System, to be known as the “Sleeping Bear Dunes Wilderness”.</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y7f6d2e50-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s3/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Map</inline>.—</heading><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6d2e51-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s3/b/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Availability</inline>.—</heading><content>The map shall be on file and available for public inspection in appropriate offices of the National Park Service.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6d2e52-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s3/b/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Corrections</inline>.—</heading><content>The Secretary may correct any clerical or typographical errors in the map.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6d2e53-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s3/b/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Legal description</inline>.—</heading><content>As soon as practicable after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall prepare a legal description of the wilderness boundary and submit a copy of the map and legal description to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate and the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives.</content></paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y7f6d2e54-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s3/c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="c">(c) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Road Setbacks</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The wilderness boundary shall be—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6d2e55-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s3/c/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>100 feet from the centerline of adjacent county roads; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6d2e56-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s3/c/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>300 feet from the centerline of adjacent State highways.<page identifier="/us/stat/128/1018">128 STAT. 1018</page></content></paragraph>
</subsection>
</section>
<section id="d252591e204" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s4" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="4">SEC. 4. </num><heading>ADMINISTRATION.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y7f6d7c77-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s4/a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Subject to valid existing rights, the wilderness area designated by section 3(a) shall be administered by the Secretary in accordance with the Wilderness Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t16/s1131/etseq">16 U.S.C. 1131 et seq.</ref>), except that—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6d7c78-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s4/a/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>any reference in the Wilderness Act to the effective date of that Act shall be considered to be a reference to the date of enactment of this Act; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6d7c79-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s4/a/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>any reference in the Wilderness Act to the Secretary of Agriculture shall be considered to be a reference to the Secretary.</content></paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y7f6d7c7a-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s4/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Maintenance of Roads Outside Wilderness Boundary</inline>.—</heading><content>Nothing in this Act prevents the maintenance and improvement of roads that are located outside the boundary of the wilderness area designated by section 3(a).</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y7f6d7c7b-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s4/c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="c">(c) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Fish and Wildlife</inline>.—</heading><content>Nothing in this Act affects the jurisdiction of the State of Michigan with respect to the management of fish and wildlife, including hunting and fishing within the national lakeshore in accordance with <ref href="/us/pl/91/479/s5">section 5 of Public Law 91–479</ref> (<ref href="/us/usc/t16/s460x–4">16 U.S.C. 460x–4</ref>).</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y7f6d7c7c-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s4/d" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="d">(d) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Savings Provisions</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Nothing in this Act modifies, alters, or affects—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6d7c7d-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s4/d/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>any treaty rights; or</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y7f6d7c7e-e873-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/87/s4/d/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>any valid private property rights in existence on the day before the date of enactment of this Act.</content></paragraph>
