<section id="d370659e94" identifier="/us/pl/113/64/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Community Fire Safety Act of 2013</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d370659e104" identifier="/us/pl/113/64/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>EXEMPTING FIRE HYDRANTS FROM PROHIBITION ON USE OF LEAD.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Section 1417(a)(4)(B) of the Safe Drinking Water Act<sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x1daf1168-e877-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t42/s300g–6">42 USC 300g–6</ref>.</p></sidenote> <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction> by <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>fire hydrants,</quotedText>” after “<quotedText>shower valves,</quotedText>”.</content></section>
<section id="d370659e123" identifier="/us/pl/113/64/s3" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x1daf1169-e877-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t42/s300g–6">42 USC 300g–6 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>EVALUATION OF SOURCES OF LEAD IN WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS AND ALTERNATE ROUTING SYSTEMS.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x1daf387a-e877-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency shall—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y1daf387b-e877-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/113/64/s3/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>consult with and seek the advice of the National Drinking Water Advisory Council on potential changes to the regulations pertaining to lead under the Safe Drinking Water Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s300f/etseq">42 U.S.C. 300f et seq.</ref>); and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y1daf387c-e877-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/113/64/s3/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>request the Council to consider sources of lead throughout drinking water distribution systems, including through components used to reroute drinking water during distribution system repairs.</content></paragraph>
