<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><i>  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</i></enactingFormula><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x158ab3dd-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Collectible Coin Protection Act.</p></sidenote>
<section id="d280420e88" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x158ab3de-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t15/s2101">15 USC 2101 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Collectible Coin Protection Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d280420e103" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>PROVISION OF ASSISTANCE OR SUPPORT.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x158b01ff-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  The Hobby Protection Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t15/s2101/etseq">15 U.S.C. 2101 et seq.</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y158b0200-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s2/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><chapeau><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x158b0201-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t15/s2101">15 USC 2101</ref>.</p></sidenote>in section 2—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y158b0202-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s2/1/A" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>in subsection (b), by <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>, or the sale in commerce</quotedText>” after “<quotedText>distribution in commerce</quotedText>”;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y158b2813-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s2/1/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="redesignate">redesignating</amendingAction> subsection (d) as subsection (e) and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> after subsection (c) the following:<quotedContent><subsection class="indentDown2 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y158b2814-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="d">“(d) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Provision of Assistance or Support</inline>.—</heading><content>It shall be a violation of subsection (a) or (b) for a person to provide substantial assistance or support to any manufacturer, importer, or seller if that person knows or should have known that the manufacturer, importer, or seller is engaged in any act or practice that violates subsection (a) or (b).”</content></subsection>

<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y158b2815-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s2/1/C" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">(C) </num><content>in subsection (e) (as so redesignated), by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>and (b)</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>(b), and (d)</quotedText>”;</content></subparagraph>

<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y158b2816-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s2/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><chapeau><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x158b2817-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t15/s2102">15 USC 2102</ref>.</p></sidenote>in section 3—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y158b2818-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s2/2/A" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>If any person</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>(a)<headingText class="smallCaps"> In General</headingText>.—If any person</quotedText>”;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y158b2819-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s2/2/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>or has an agent</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>, has an agent, transacts business, or wherever venue is proper under <ref href="/us/usc/t28/s1391">section 1391 of title 28, United States Code</ref></quotedText>”; and</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y158b281a-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s2/2/C" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">(C) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following:<quotedContent><subsection class="indentDown2 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y158b281b-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">“(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Trademark Violations</inline>.—</heading><content>If the violation of section 2 (a) or (b) or a rule under section 2(c) also involves unauthorized use of registered trademarks belonging to a collectibles certification service, the owner of such trademarks shall have, in addition to the remedies provided in subsection (a), all rights provided under sections 34, 35, and 36 of the Trademark Act of 1946 (<ref href="/us/usc/t15/s1116">15 U.S.C. 1116</ref>, 1117, and 1118) for violations of such Act.”</content></subsection>

<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y158b281c-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/288/s2/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x158b281d-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Definitions.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x158b281e-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t15/s2106">15 USC 2106</ref>.</p></sidenote>in section 7, by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following:<quotedContent><paragraph class="indentUp0 fontsize10" id="y158b281f-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="8">“(8) </num><content>The term ‘<term>collectibles certification service</term>’ means a person recognized by collectors for providing independent certification that collectible items are genuine.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="indentUp0 fontsize10" id="y158b2820-e87e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="9">“(9) </num><content>The term ‘<term>Trademark Act of 1946</term>’ means the Act entitled ‘An Act to provide for the registration and protection <page identifier="/us/stat/128/3282">128 STAT. 3282</page>
of trademarks used in commerce, to carry out the provisions of certain international conventions, and for other purposes’, approved July 5, 1946 (<ref href="/us/usc/t15/s1051/etseq">15 U.S.C. 1051 et seq.</ref>).”</content></paragraph>
