<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><i>  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</i></enactingFormula><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x3b3a6141-e898-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">World War II Memorial Prayer Act of 2013.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x3b3a6142-e898-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t40/s8903">40 USC 8903 note</ref>.</p></sidenote>
<section id="d298556e92" identifier="/us/pl/113/123/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">World War II Memorial Prayer Act of 2013</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d298556e102" identifier="/us/pl/113/123/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>PLACEMENT OF PLAQUE OR INSCRIPTION AT WORLD WAR II MEMORIAL.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x3b3a8853-e898-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  The Secretary of the Interior—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b3a8854-e898-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/123/s2/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>shall install in the area of the World War II Memorial in the District of Columbia a suitable plaque or an inscription with the words that President Franklin D. Roosevelt prayed with the United States on June 6, 1944, the morning of D-Day;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b3a8855-e898-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/123/s2/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>shall design, procure, prepare, and install the plaque or inscription referred to in paragraph (1); and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b3a8856-e898-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/113/123/s2/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>may not use Federal funds to prepare or install the plaque or inscription referred to in paragraph (1), but may accept and expend private contributions for this purpose.</content></paragraph>

<section id="d298556e124" identifier="/us/pl/113/123/s3" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x3b3aaf67-e898-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Applicability.</p></sidenote><heading>COMMEMORATIVE WORKS ACT.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  <ref href="/us/usc/t40/ch89">Chapter 89 of title 40, United States Code</ref> (commonly known as the “Commemorative Works Act”), shall apply to the design <page identifier="/us/stat/128/1378">128 STAT. 1378</page>
and placement of the plaque within the area of the World War II Memorial.</content></section>
