    <main style="-uslm-dtd:legis-body"><longTitle><docTitle style="-uslm-dtd:legis-type">AN ACT</docTitle><officialTitle style="-uslm-dtd:official-title">To eliminate or modify certain mandates of the Government Accountability Office.</officialTitle></longTitle><enactingFormula style="-uslm-dtd:enacting-clause">Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s1" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><editorialNote style="-uslm-dtd:usc-reference" role="uscRef"><b>[</b><ref href="/us/usc/t31/s7501">31 U.S.C. 7501 note</ref><b>]</b> </editorialNote><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">SHORT TITLE. </heading>
            <content style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle style="-uslm-dtd:quote">GAO Mandates Revision Act of 2016</shortTitle>”.</content>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">REPORTS ELIMINATED. </heading>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/a" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Single Audit Act Monitoring Responsibilities.—</heading>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/a/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">In general.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">Chapter 75 of title 31, United States Code, is amended—</chapeau>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/a/1/A" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="A">(A) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">by striking section 7506; and</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/a/1/B" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="B">(B) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">by redesignating section 7507 as section 7506.</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/a/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Technical and conforming amendment.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The table of sections for chapter 75 of title 31, United States Code, is amended by striking the items relating to sections 7506 and 7507 and inserting the following:<quotedContent style="-uslm-dtd:quoted-block">
                    <toc style="-uslm-dtd:toc">
                        <referenceItem style="-uslm-dtd:toc-entry" role="section"><designator>“7506.</designator><label> Effective date.”</label></referenceItem>
                    </toc></quotedContent>.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/b" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><editorialNote style="-uslm-dtd:usc-reference" role="uscRef"><b>[</b><ref href="/us/usc/t42/s1395l">42 U.S.C. 1395l note</ref><b>]</b> </editorialNote><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Review of Medigap Premium Levels.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 111(c) of the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Benefits Improvement and Protection Act of 2000 (Appendix F; 114 Stat. 2763A-473), as enacted into law by section 1(a)(6) of Public Law 106-554, is repealed.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/c" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="c">(c) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Report on Dispute Resolution Pilot Program.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 1105 of the Sandy Recovery Improvement Act of 2013 (42 U.S.C. 5189a note) is amended by striking subsection (d).</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/d" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="d">(d) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Biennial Survey Regarding Transportation Intelligence Reports.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 114(u) of title 49, United States Code, is amended—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/d/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">in paragraph (1)(A), by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">subsection (t)</quotedText>” and inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">subsection (s)(4)(E)</quotedText>”;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/d/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">by striking paragraph (7); and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s2/d/3" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">(3) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">by redesignating paragraphs (8) and (9) as paragraphs (7) and (8), respectively.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s3" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">REPORTS MODIFIED. </heading>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s3/a" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Oversight and Audits Under the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 116(a)(3) of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (12 U.S.C. 5226(a)(3)) is amended by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">, regularly and no less frequently than once every 60 days,</quotedText>” and inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">annually</quotedText>”.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s3/b" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Reports on Conflict Minerals.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 1502(d) of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (15 U.S.C. 78m note) is amended—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s3/b/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">in paragraph (1), by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">until the termination of the disclosure requirements under section 13(p) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934</quotedText>” and inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">through 2020, in 2022, and in 2024</quotedText>”; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s3/b/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">in paragraph (2), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">through 2020, in 2022, and in 2024</quotedText>” after “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">annually thereafter</quotedText>”.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s3/c" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="c">(c) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Update on Actions Taken by Secretary of HHS To Implement GAO Recommendation.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 632(d) of the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 (Public Law 112-240; 126 Stat. 2354) is amended in the first sentence by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">December 31, 2015</quotedText>” and inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">December 31, 2023</quotedText>”.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s3/d" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="d">(d) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Review Panel.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 399V-4(d)(2) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 280g-15) is amended—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s3/d/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">in subparagraph (C), by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">, or an individual within the Government Accountability Office designated by the Comptroller General, shall</quotedText>” and inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">shall designate a member of the review panel to</quotedText>”; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/301/s3/d/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">in subparagraph (D), by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Comptroller General</quotedText>” and inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Secretary</quotedText>”.</content>
