    <main style="-uslm-dtd:legis-body"><longTitle><docTitle style="-uslm-dtd:legis-type">AN ACT</docTitle><officialTitle style="-uslm-dtd:official-title">To amend title 18, United States Code, with respect to fraudulent representations about having received military decorations or medals.</officialTitle></longTitle><enactingFormula style="-uslm-dtd:enacting-clause">Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/113/12/s1" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><editorialNote style="-uslm-dtd:usc-reference" role="uscRef"><b>[</b><ref href="/us/usc/t18/s1">18 U.S.C. 1 note</ref><b>]</b> </editorialNote><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">SHORT TITLE. </heading>
            <content style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle style="-uslm-dtd:quote"><inline style="-uslm-dtd:short-title">Stolen Valor Act of 2013</inline></shortTitle>”.</content>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/113/12/s2" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">FRAUDULENT REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT RECEIPT OF MILITARY DECORATIONS OR MEDALS. </heading>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/113/12/s2/a" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">In General.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 704 of title 18, United States Code, is amended—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/12/s2/a/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">in subsection (a), by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">wears,</quotedText>”; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/12/s2/a/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">so that subsection (b) reads as follows:<quotedContent style="-uslm-dtd:quoted-block">
                    <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">“(b) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Fraudulent Representations About Receipt of Military Decorations or Medals. </heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Whoever, with intent to obtain money, property, or other tangible benefit, fraudulently holds oneself out to be a recipient of a decoration or medal described in subsection (c)(2) or (d) shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than one year, or both.”</content>
                    </subsection></quotedContent>.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/113/12/s2/b" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Addition of Certain Other Medals.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 704(d) of title 18, United States Code, is amended—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/12/s2/b/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">If a decoration</quotedText>” and inserting the following:<quotedContent style="-uslm-dtd:quoted-block">
                    <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">“(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">In general. </heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">If a decoration”</content>
                    </paragraph></quotedContent>;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/12/s2/b/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">by inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">a combat badge,</quotedText>” after “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">1129 of title 10,</quotedText>”; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/12/s2/b/3" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">(3) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">by adding at the end the following:<quotedContent style="-uslm-dtd:quoted-block">
                    <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">“(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Combat badge defined. </heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">In this subsection, the term ‘<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">combat badge</quotedText>’ means a Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Combat Action Badge, Combat Medical Badge, Combat Action Ribbon, or Combat Action Medal.”</content>
                    </paragraph></quotedContent>.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/113/12/s2/c" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="c">(c) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Conforming Amendment.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 704 of title 18, United States Code, is amended in each of subsections (c)(1) and (d) by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">or (b)</quotedText>”.</content>
