            <summary-text><![CDATA[<p><strong>Plum Island Preservation Study Act</strong></p><p>This bill requires the Department of the Interior to conduct a study on the appropriateness of designating all or a portion of Plum Island in New York as a unit of the National Park System or the National Wildlife Refuge System.&nbsp;</p><p>In conducting the study, Interior must evaluate the national significance of Plum Island and consult with interested federal, state, or local government entities; private and nonprofit organizations; and other stakeholders. &nbsp;</p><p>The study must also consider protecting Plum Island’s resources by some other means, and must include cost estimates associated with identified alternatives.</p>]]></summary-text>
