            <summary-text><![CDATA[ <p><b>Election Integrity Act of 2023</b></p> <p>This bill prohibits the use of a voting system in a federal election that </p> <ul> <li>has proprietary hardware or software that does not meet the Election Assistance Commission's voluntary voting system guidelines for interoperability and auditability,</li> <li>has hardware and software components that are not manufactured and maintained in the United States, </li> <li>is produced by a foreign entity,</li> <li>connects to the internet, or</li> <li>directly tabulates a ballot that was transmitted online.</li> </ul>]]></summary-text>
