            <summary-text><![CDATA[ <p><b>Serious Noise Reduction Efforts Act of 2021 or the</b> <b>SNORE Act of 20</b><strong>21</strong></p> <p>This bill addresses noise mitigation through soundproofing and other strategies in the communities surrounding San Francisco International Airport (SFO).</p> <p>Specifically, the bill</p> <ul> <li>permits SFO to conduct a noise compatibility program by installing residential noise dampening windows, residential noise insulation, and other residential improvements to reduce or to mitigate the noise impacts of the operations of the airport; </li> <li>authorizes the Department of Transportation to provide grants for a program of residential noise mitigation and soundproofing for residential buildings near SFO; </li> <li>sets forth requirements for the noise compatibility program near SFO; and </li> <li>authorizes SFO to use both federal and airport funds to conduct the program. </li></ul>]]></summary-text>
