Snow Water Supply Forecasting Program Authorization Act 2020-08-13 Introduced in Senate Snow Water Supply Forecasting Program Authorization Act

This bill establishes the Snow Water Supply Forecasting Program within the Department of the Interior to improve snowpack measurement in particular watersheds. Further, the Bureau of Reclamation must incorporate, to the greatest extent practicable, information from emerging technologies for snowpack measurement when determining water supply forecasts or allocations to federal water contractors.
