<summary-text><![CDATA[<p><b>Elevation of the Education Profession Act</b></p> <p>This bill requires the Department of Education to establish an advisory committee to carry out a study examining policies related to preparing and certifying educators.</p> <p>The study must (1) assess the state of policies and practices related to teacher and school leader education and entry into the profession, (2) compile best practices for educating and training teachers and school leaders, (3) review certification and credentialing practices across the country, and (4) recommend a comprehensive set of expectations for state standards related to the profession of teaching. </p>]]></summary-text>
