<summary-text><![CDATA[<p><b>Jessie's Law</b></p> <p>(Sec. 2) This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to develop and disseminate best practices for health care providers and state agencies&nbsp;regarding the display of a patient's history of opioid addiction in the patient's medical records.&nbsp;</p> <p>In doing so, HHS must identify: (1) the circumstances under which information provided by a patient to a health care provider should, upon patient request,&nbsp;be displayed in the patient's medical records; (2) what constitutes a patient request; and (3) the process and methods&nbsp;by which the information should be displayed.</p>]]></summary-text>
