<summary-text><![CDATA[<p><b>Drug-Price Transparency in Communications Act</b></p> <p>This bill amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to impose a civil penalty on any person who disseminates a direct-to-consumer drug advertisement that does not include the wholesale acquisition cost (the manufacturer's list price to wholesalers or direct purchasers) for a 30-day supply of the drug.</p> <p>The bill requires any representative of a drug manufacturer who communicates with a health care practitioner about a drug manufactured by the drug manufacturer to disclose the wholesale acquisition cost for a 30-day supply of the drug. </p>]]></summary-text>
