<summary-text><![CDATA[<p><b>Countering Foreign Interference with Our Armed Forces Act</b></p> <p>This bill directs the Department of Defense to report annually to Congress regarding attempts by the Russian Federation, or any foreign person acting as a agent for Russia, to disseminate Russian disinformation or propaganda through social media or the Internet to members of the Armed Forces with probable intent to injure the United States or advantage Russia. </p> <p>The military departments and the Department of State shall jointly report annually to Congress on each approval for employment or compensation from a foreign government to a retired member of the armed forces in a general or flag officer grade that was issued during the preceding year. The first such report shall cover the five-year period ending with the year before the year in which the report is submitted. </p>]]></summary-text>
