<summary-text><![CDATA[<p><b>Truck, Trailer, and Transport Efficiency Act of 2017</b></p> <p>This bill removes trailers that do not emit greenhouse gases in connection with a propulsion system from the scope of the final rule titled &quot;Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Fuel Efficiency Standards for Medium- and Heavy-Duty Engines and Vehicles--Phase 2.&quot; The Environmental Protection Agency and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration jointly issued the rule, which created fuel consumption standards and carbon dioxide emission standards for heavy-duty vehicles (e.g., tractors, trucks, vans, and vocational vehicles), on October 25, 2016.</p>]]></summary-text>
