Condemning gun violence and its impact on youth by supporting the enactment of legislation to prevent future school and neighborhood shootings. 2018-06-28 Introduced in House Expresses the sense of Congress that the United States must address gun violence.

  • reinstating the ban on the sale of assault weapons,
  • ensuring that children can attend school and live free from the threat of violence,
  • ensuring that school districts create learning environments where all students can excel,
  • providing evidence-based school threat assessments,
  • keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of unauthorized individuals,
  • promoting information sharing to facilitate the early identification of threats,
  • providing evidence-based training to recognize the indicators of violent behavior, and
  • facilitating relevant research to expand access for mental health services.
