<summary-text><![CDATA[<p>This bill amends the federal criminal code to permit the assembly of a semiautomatic rifle or shotgun that is identical to guns prohibited from importation using imported barrels, muzzle attachments, trigger groups, and triggers. </p> <p>Additionally, the Department of Justice shall permit the importation of frames, receivers, or barrels for firearms, excluding handguns, if the importation is for repair or replacement purposes. </p> <p>This bill exempts federal, state, and local governments from prohibitions on the importation of barrels for firearms. </p>]]></summary-text>
