<summary-text><![CDATA[<p><b>Article I Consolidated Appropriations Amendments, 2016 </b></p> <p>This bill amends the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016 to restrict federal agencies from using appropriations for certain activities. </p> <p>The bill includes restrictions that affect policy and regulations in areas, including: </p> <ul> <li> tobacco products, </li> <li>greenhouse gas emissions, </li> <li>fisheries, </li> <li>exports to Cuba, </li> <li>endangered species, </li> <li>water and air quality, </li> <li>hydraulic fracturing, </li> <li>limits on truck size, </li> <li>housing discrimination, </li> <li>fiduciary standards for providing investment advice for pension and retirement plans, </li> <li>determinations of tax-exempt status, </li> <li>the funding source for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, </li> <li>immigration, and</li> <li>the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. </li> </ul> <p>The bill authorizes a land exchange between Alaska and the Department of the Interior to construct a road between the cities of King Cove and Cold Bay to provide access to emergency medical services using the airport in Cold Bay.</p> <p><i>Enforce the Law for Sanctuary Cities Act </i></p> <p>The bill amends the Immigration and Nationality Act and includes other provisions to bar states and local subdivisions from receiving certain federal funds if they prohibit state or local law enforcement officials from engaging in certain activities related to the enforcement of federal immigration laws.</p>]]></summary-text>
