<summary-text><![CDATA[<p><b>American Civil Rights Cities Act</b></p> <p>Requires the National Park Service to designate at least one city in the United States each year as an &quot;American Civil Rights City&quot; based on the city's: (1) contributions to protect civil rights by preventing discrimination; and (2) efforts to highlight the struggle of the United States to secure civil rights and liberties through preservation and celebration, including the establishment of historical organizations or museums and recognition of civil rights leaders.</p> <p>Designates Greensboro, North Carolina, and Selma, Alabama, as the first cities to have that designation.</p>]]></summary-text>
