2014-09-18 Introduced in Senate Affordable Health Insurance for the Middle Class Act - Amends the Internal Revenue Code to: (1) expand eligibility for the health care premium assistance refundable tax credit by defining an "applicable taxpayer" as a taxpayer whose household income does not exceed 600% of the federal poverty line (currently, 400%), and (2) increase the excise tax rate for small cigars and small cigarettes.
