The resolution also honors (1) the service of members of the U.S. Armed Forces and South Vietnamese forces who fought in Vietnam, including those who gave their lives; (2) the contributions of Vietnamese Americans to the United States; and (3) the memory of those Vietnamese who lost their lives attempting to flee Vietnam.</p>
