<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
<section id="d33164e62" identifier="/us/bill/117/s/854/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I650146"><num value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Methamphetamine Response Act of 2021</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d33164e72" identifier="/us/bill/117/s/854/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I650141"><num value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>DECLARATION OF EMERGING THREAT.</heading><subsection class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d33164e76" identifier="/us/bill/117/s/854/s2/a" style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><content>Congress declares methamphetamine an emerging drug threat, as defined in section 702 of the Office of National Drug Control Policy Reauthorization Act of 1998 (<ref href="/us/usc/t21/s1701">21 U.S.C. 1701</ref>), in the United States.</content></subsection><subsection class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d33164e88" identifier="/us/bill/117/s/854/s2/b" style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Required Emerging Threat Response Plan</inline>.—</heading><content>Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy shall establish and implement an Emerging Threat Response Plan that is specific to methamphetamine in accordance with section 709(d) of the Office of National Drug Control Policy Reauthorization Act of 1998 (<ref href="/us/usc/t21/s1708/d">21 U.S.C. 1708(d)</ref>).</content></subsection></section>
