<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
<section id="d18776e62" identifier="/us/bill/115/hr/6347/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I650146"><num value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">7(a) Real Estate Appraisal Harmonization Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d18776e72" identifier="/us/bill/115/hr/6347/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I650141"><num value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>APPRAISAL THRESHOLDS.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  Section 7(a)(29) of the Small Business Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t15/s636/a/29">15 U.S.C. 636(a)(29)</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>—</chapeau><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d18776e84" identifier="/us/bill/115/hr/6347/s2/1" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="redesignate">redesignating</amendingAction> subparagraphs (A) and (B) as clauses (i) and (ii), respectively, and adjusting the margins of such clauses accordingly;</content></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d18776e92" identifier="/us/bill/115/hr/6347/s2/2" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>With respect to</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> the following:<quotedContent><subparagraph class="indentUp2 firstIndent1 fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:I650124"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">“(A) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">In general</inline>.—</heading><content>With respect to”</content></subparagraph></quotedContent>;</content></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d18776e113" identifier="/us/bill/115/hr/6347/s2/3" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>in clause (i), as so redesignated, by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>for more than $250,000</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>, if such loan is in an amount greater than the Federal banking regulator appraisal threshold</quotedText>”;</content></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d18776e124" identifier="/us/bill/115/hr/6347/s2/4" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="4">(4) </num><content>in clause (ii), as so redesignated, by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>for $250,000 or less</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>, if such loan is in an amount equal to or less than the Federal banking regulator appraisal threshold</quotedText>”; and</content></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d18776e135" identifier="/us/bill/115/hr/6347/s2/5" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="5">(5) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following:<quotedContent><subparagraph class="indentUp2 firstIndent1 fontsize10" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I650124"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">“(B) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Federal banking regulator appraisal threshold defined</inline>.—</heading><content>For purposes of this paragraph, the term ‘<term>Federal banking regulator appraisal threshold</term>’ means the lesser of the threshold amounts set by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for when a federally related transaction that is a commercial real estate transaction requires an appraisal prepared by a State licensed or certified appraiser.”</content></subparagraph></quotedContent>.</content></paragraph></section>
