<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
<section id="d149071e62" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/4488/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I650146"><num value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Gold Medal Technical Corrections Act of 2014</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d149071e72" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/4488/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I650141"><num value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS TO AN ACT THAT AUTHORIZES PRESENTATION OF A CONGRESSIONAL GOLD MEDAL TO DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., AND CORETTA SCOTT KING.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  <ref href="/us/pl/108/368/s2">Section 2 of Public Law 108–368</ref> <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>—</chapeau><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d149071e84" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/4488/s2/1" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><chapeau>in subsection (a)—</chapeau><subparagraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d149071e88" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/4488/s2/1/A" style="-uslm-lc:I650124"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> all before “<quotedText>to present</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> the following: “<quotedText>(a)<headingText class="smallCaps"> Presentation Authorized.—</headingText>The Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate are authorized</quotedText>”; and</content></subparagraph><subparagraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d149071e102" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/4488/s2/1/B" style="-uslm-lc:I650124"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>(posthumously)</quotedText>”; and</content></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d149071e110" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/4488/s2/2" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following:<quotedContent><subsection class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="c">“(c) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Smithsonian Institution</inline>.—</heading><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">“(1) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">In general</inline>.—</heading><content>Following the award of the gold medal in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Coretta Scott King under subsection (a), the gold medal shall be given to the Smithsonian Institution, where it shall be available for display as appropriate and made available for research.</content></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">“(2) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Sense of congress</inline>.—</heading><content>It is the sense of Congress that the Smithsonian Institution shall make the gold medal received under paragraph (1) available for display, particularly at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, or for loan as appropriate so that it may be displayed elsewhere, particularly at other appropriate locations associated with the lives of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Coretta Scott King.”</content></paragraph></subsection></quotedContent>.</content></paragraph></section>
