<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
<section id="d93486e62" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I650146"><num value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">North Cascades National Park Service Complex Fish Stocking Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d93486e72" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I650141"><num value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>DEFINITIONS.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  In this Act:</chapeau><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e78" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s2/1" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">North cascades national park service complex</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>North Cascades National Park Service Complex</term>” means collectively the North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake National Recreation Area, and Lake Chelan National Recreation Area.</content></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e86" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s2/2" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Plan</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>plan</term>” means the document entitled “North Cascades National Park Service Complex Mountain Lakes Fishery Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement” and dated June 2008.</content></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e94" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s2/3" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Secretary</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>Secretary</term>” means the Secretary of the Interior.</content></paragraph></section>
<section id="d93486e103" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3" style="-uslm-lc:I650141"><num value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading>STOCKING OF CERTAIN LAKES IN THE NORTH CASCADES NATIONAL PARK SERVICE COMPLEX.</heading><subsection class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e107" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/a" style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><content>Subject to subsection (b), the Secretary shall authorize the stocking of fish in lakes in the North Cascades National Park Service Complex.</content></subsection><subsection class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e115" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/b" style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Conditions</inline>.—</heading><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e122" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/b/1" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">In general</inline>.—</heading><content>The Secretary is authorized to allow stocking of fish in not more than 42 of the 91 lakes in the North Cascades National Park Service Complex that have historically been stocked with fish.</content></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e130" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/b/2" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Native nonreproducing fish</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The Secretary shall only stock fish that are—</chapeau><subparagraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e138" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/b/2/A" style="-uslm-lc:I650124"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>native to the slope of the Cascade Range on which the lake to be stocked is located; and</content></subparagraph><subparagraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e142" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/b/2/B" style="-uslm-lc:I650124"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>nonreproducing, as identified in management alternative B of the plan.</content></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e146" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/b/3" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Considerations</inline>.—</heading><content>In making fish stocking decisions under this Act, the Secretary shall consider relevant scientific information, including the plan and information gathered under subsection (c).</content></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e154" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/b/4" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="4">(4) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Required coordination</inline>.—</heading><content>The Secretary shall coordinate the stocking of fish under this Act with the State of Washington.</content></paragraph></subsection><subsection class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e162" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/c" style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="c">(c) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Research and Monitoring</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The Secretary shall—</chapeau><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e170" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/c/1" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>continue a program of research and monitoring of the impacts of fish stocking on the resources of the applicable unit of the North Cascades National Park Service Complex; and</content></paragraph><paragraph class="indentUp1 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d93486e174" identifier="/us/bill/113/hr/1158/s3/c/2" style="-uslm-lc:I650122"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>beginning on the date that is 5 years after the date of enactment of this Act and every 5 years thereafter, submit to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate and the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives a report that describes the results of the research and monitoring under paragraph (1).</content></paragraph></subsection></section>
