RES. 384</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20250911">September 11, 2025</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S378">Mr. Lankford</sponsor> submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSRA00">Committee on Rules and Administration</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>RESOLUTION</legis-type><official-title display="yes">Authorizing the Majority Leader to move to proceed to the en bloc consideration of certain nominations.</official-title></form><resolution-body><section section-type="section-one" id="id740AA59D702149ABA3AF7E1249AF3C4B"><enum>1.</enum><header>En bloc consideration of certain nominations</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id05ab34dee3a84df58b9504101368022f"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Definition</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section, the term <term>covered nomination</term> means a nomination to a position that is not a position—</text><paragraph id="id50E69C5EA6E44CAAA9855C341ED38DC0"><enum>(1)</enum><text>at level I of the Executive Schedule under section 5312 of title 5, United States Code; </text></paragraph><paragraph id="id89A5301CA6974CF1A0EA5F6657F6CE91"><enum>(2)</enum><text>as a judge of a district court of the United States; </text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id1db70cb206be429fa4553513ccfdbd05"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">as a judge of a court of appeals of the United States; or</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idDB2E44D95C3149E4B6E1DD08F279DE7A"><enum>(4)</enum><text>as Chief Justice of the United States or as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. </text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idF3035A3FA18B495B9E5DCA6167150BC0"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Authorization</header><text>It shall be in order for the Majority Leader to move to proceed to the en bloc consideration of not more than 15 covered nominations that were reported to the Senate by the same committee of the Senate and placed on the calendar.</text></subsection><subsection id="idFC454DD97E4F4EB8B6E38DE151C3E747"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Consideration</header><text>Consideration of a motion to proceed under subsection (b), and the en bloc consideration of the nominations that are the subject of the motion, shall be conducted in the same manner as if it were a motion to proceed to the consideration of a single nomination.</text></subsection></section></resolution-body></resolution>
