 programs.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Keep Head Start Funded Act of 2025</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id1d155a30ac854c048a26d6110afb863f"><enum>2.</enum><header>Continuing appropriations for Head Start</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">There are hereby appropriated for fiscal year 2026, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for any period during which interim or full-year appropriations for fiscal year 2026 are not in effect, such sums as are necessary for carrying out without interruption, under the authority and conditions provided for in division A of the Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2025 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/119/4">Public Law 119–4</external-xref>), all projects or activities under the Head Start Act that were conducted in fiscal year 2025, and for which appropriations were made available by the Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2025.</text></section><section id="id1edab98d2d9045e4b8a654f406d71ab1"><enum>3.</enum><header>Termination</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Appropriations and funds made available and authority granted pursuant to this Act shall be available until whichever of the following first occurs:</text><paragraph id="id0ec115c6acb74575a3dd200c2622e356"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The enactment into law of an appropriation (including a continuing appropriation) for any purpose for which amounts are made available in section 2.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idb6f0ea3b50b845c7967d70a117440f96"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The enactment into law of the regular or continuing appropriations resolution or other Act for the Department of Health and Human Services without any appropriation for such purpose.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id054fd7a8248f49b9ba95c1d90ad26f70"><enum>(3)</enum><text>September 30, 2026.</text></paragraph></section><section id="ide17519df21f043e5b8f15ad9810a3e23"><enum>4.</enum><header>Charge to future appropriations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Expenditures made pursuant to this Act shall be charged to the applicable appropriation, fund, or authorization whenever a bill in which such applicable appropriation, fund, or authorization is contained is enacted into law.</text></section><section id="id1af2a8e7e9994f2eb432085f0ed860ff"><enum>5.</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act shall take effect as if enacted on September 30, 2025.</text></section></legis-body></bill>
