<official-title>To amend <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/38/17">chapter 17</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, to direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to allow a veteran to receive a full-year supply of contraceptive pills, transdermal patches, vaginal rings, and other contraceptive products, and for other purposes.</official-title>

<section section-type="section-one" id="HE6FC369D16694E57AB3CFA6C6536F7E4"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Access to Contraception Expansion for Veterans Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>ACE Veterans Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HD9C77E0386894E448BF6D2AB7153AF50"><enum>2.</enum><header>Full-year supply of contraceptive pills, transdermal patches, vaginal rings, and other contraceptive products</header> <subsection id="HD089530F3124438B88B41ECB986A6234"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Full year supply</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subchapter II of <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/38/17">chapter 17</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, is amended by inserting after <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/1720L">section 1720L</external-xref> the following new section:</text>

<section id="H5F6A7A2CC5C14CF5B631FEB9CE3EE68B"><enum>1720M.</enum><header>Full-year supply of contraceptive pills, transdermal patches, vaginal rings, and other contraceptive products</header>
<subsection id="HD260F9909B694CC68363CED9FCC80B57"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Availability of full-Year supply</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall ensure that a veteran who is enrolled in the system of annual patient enrollment under section 1705 of this title and to whom a medical provider of the Department prescribes contraceptive pills, transdermal patches, vaginal rings, or other contraceptive products may elect to fill such prescription as a full-year supply.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H79E7EB5AEDB84659B8954098EA6E123E"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Notice</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A medical provider of the Department who prescribes to a veteran contraceptive pills, transdermal patches, vaginal rings, or other contraceptive products shall notify the veteran of the option to fill the prescription as a full-year supply.</text></subsection>
<subsection id="H190DE039D5E8403B9CD86D7DE9D1D6E9"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Contraceptive product defined</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section, the term <term>contraceptive product</term> means any drug, device, or biological product intended for use in the prevention of pregnancy, whether specifically intended to prevent pregnancy or for other health needs, that is approved, cleared, authorized, or licensed under section 505, 510(k), 513(f)(2), 515, or 564 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/21/355">21 U.S.C. 355</external-xref>, 360(k), 360c(f)(2), 360e, 360bbb–3) or section 351 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/262">42 U.S.C. 262</external-xref>).</text></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> <subsection id="HDCEA909DE13B42C2A7994706F5E95D73"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The table of sections at the beginning of such chapter is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 1720L the following new item:</text>
