        <official-title>To amend title 18, United States Code, to impose mandatory minimum penalties
            for assaulting officers and employees of the United States, and for other
            purposes.</official-title>

            <enum>1.</enum>
            <header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Larry Henderson Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
        </section>
        <section id="id928fcd0af7634a05b4704eca671178d7">
            <enum>2.</enum>
            <header>Mandatory minimum penalties for assaulting officers and employees of the United
                States</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 111 of title 18, United States Code, is amended—</text>
            <paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idc1d6ea6a3f68488fa3fee55597c73610">
                <enum>(1)</enum>
 <text>in subsection (a), in the matter preceding subsection (b), by striking <quote>only</quote> and all that follows through the period at the end and inserting <quote>any bodily harm or bodily injury, be fined under this title and imprisoned not less than 20 years.</quote>;</text>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph id="id349504b79c8a4dec8cb4f389e0282ade">
                <enum>(2)</enum>
 <text>by striking subsection (b);</text> </paragraph> <paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id2859e5420be64184987ff7d4ec9ce38c"> <enum>(3)</enum> <text>by redesignating subsection (c) as subsection (b); and</text>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idb19c707b67d946c590bc1920481a5233">
                <enum>(4)</enum>
 <text>by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id423ad19c8871461c984a8aef4a2d7de5"> <subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id42565af9a0dd4ca69365da5b8965d62d"> <enum>(c)</enum> <header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Exclusive applicability</header> <text>The provisions of this section shall apply exclusively to any act of assault, resistance, or impediment against any officer or employee of the United States engaged in or on account of the performance of official Federal duties.</text>
                    </subsection>
                    <subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id366aa634dabb4424a65db8fcdacbfd75">
                        <enum>(d)</enum>
                        <header>Effect on State law</header>
 <text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The provisions of this section shall supersede any and all State laws insofar as they may now or hereafter relate to the assault, resistance, or impediment against any officer or employee of the United States engaged in or on account of the performance of official Federal duties.</text>

            <enum>3.</enum>
            <header>Technical and conforming amendments</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3632(d)(4)(D)(v) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>Section 111(b)</quote> and inserting <quote>Section 111</quote>.</text>
        </section>

            <enum>4.</enum>
            <header>Applicability</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act, and the amendments made by this Act, shall apply to any offense committed on or after the date of enactment of this Act.</text>
