        <official-title>To prohibit the Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety
            Administration from issuing a rule or promulgating a regulation requiring certain
            commercial motor vehicles to be equipped with speed limiting devices, and for other
            purposes.</official-title>

            <enum>1.</enum>
            <header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Deregulating Restrictions on Interstate Vehicles and Eighteen-wheelers Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>DRIVE Act</short-title></quote>.</text>

            <enum>2.</enum>
            <header>Prohibition on requiring speed limiting devices</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration may not issue any rule or promulgate any regulation to require a commercial motor vehicle (as defined in section 390.5 of title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (or a successor regulation)) to be equipped with a speed limiting device set to a maximum speed.</text>
