</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H7CFABD3D94F74ECC90327790893B2B0A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking paragraph (2);</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H31ED0EDC76774CC1B0B2B4041E3B6267"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by redesignating paragraphs (3) through (5) as paragraphs (2) through (4), respectively; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HB3E457A478C4427E8BCAC404059D25B8"><enum>(4)</enum><text>in paragraph (1) by striking <quote>paragraph (3)</quote> and inserting <quote>paragraph (2)</quote>. </text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H13D0F3C0F087470A947FAB1FD2A554C2" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Applicability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to an individual who dies on or after January 5, 2021.</text></subsection></section><section id="H4E81DF74CF2144389364DB48287A781C"><enum>4.</enum><header>Extension of certain limits on payments of pension</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 5503(d)(7) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>November 30, 2031</quote> and inserting <quote>May 31, 2033</quote>.</text></section></legis-body><endorsement display="yes"><action-date date="20251017">October 17, 2025</action-date><action-desc>Reported with an amendment, committed to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union, and ordered to be printed</action-desc></endorsement></bill>
