<section id="HD5290DE86DE44E84B33670CCA82A6B4E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Licensing Individual Commercial Exam-takers Now Safely and Efficiently Act of 2025</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>LICENSE Act of 2025</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HFADF65C9F19D4171B5A7D134F2845993" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Modifications to certain commercial driver’s license regulations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Transportation, acting through the Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, shall—</text>
<paragraph id="HAE14B76A485B49D4B004312DE2484055"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">revise section 384.228 of title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (or a successor regulation), to allow a State or third-party examiner to administer the commercial driver’s license knowledge test only if the examiner—</text> <subparagraph id="HB40C2B82865C4B0C9ECECB5F8A39271D"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">maintains a valid commercial driver’s license test examiner certification;</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="H1FAB0556D6254DF29B4449ECC23655CF"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">completes a commercial driver’s license skills test examiner training course that meets the requirements of subsection (d) of such section; and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H9ED4B75FFB2541D692D60DD0458D6B73"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">completes 1 unit of instruction described in subsection (c)(3) of such section; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H1C1175AA74954A5C916BDD601881B125"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">revise section 383.79 of title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (or a successor regulation), to allow a State to administer a driving skills tests to any commercial driver’s license applicant, regardless of the State of domicile of the applicant or where the applicant received driver training.</text></paragraph></section> </legis-body></bill>
