<section id="HE41BE08C91F94883A70D2525C9C2C6EB" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Imposing limitations on contracts with MA organizations offering multiple MA plans under Medicare</header> <text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1857 of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1395w-27">42 U.S.C. 1395w–27</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" id="HB329248ECE6548A0AA372DF6137D83F6" display-inline="no-display-inline"> <subsection id="H9D2ABE3342C74D809C32878F1571FABB"><enum>(j)</enum><header>Limitations on contracts with MA organizations offering multiple MA plans</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">With respect to contracts entered into or renewed on or after the date that is 1 year after the date of the enactment of this subsection—</text> 
<paragraph id="H2505BC1A7CC843A4A8F5EE5B3D188879"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the Secretary may not enter into or renew 1 or more contracts with an MA organization under this section with respect to more than 3 MA plans offered for a plan year by such organization under this part; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HBCAAC0C3A11D4663BC4227F1F3BF5CCA"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the Secretary may not enter into or renew 1 or more contracts with an MA organization under this section with respect to more than 1 MA plan offered for a plan year by such organization under this part unless each such MA plan is significantly different with respect to premiums, benefits, or cost-sharing structure (as determined by the Secretary). </text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section>
