<section id="HA3E1119A66C641A3934C6627F81338AD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Veterans Earned Education Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H8A1579A642F04BD493B78E2A8E9ACAF2" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Expansion of eligibility to transfer Post-9/11 educational assistance to eligible dependents</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3319(b) of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H64718C76357A4D2BAF6BB6CDD36920BB"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the matter preceding paragraph (1)—</text> <subparagraph id="H40275E91AB4C44E889BBE1908C0AD782"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking <quote>member of the uniformed services</quote> and inserting <quote>individual</quote>; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H198C953EAA57440A9EEC0CF79EB7F771"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking <quote>, has completed at least</quote>;</text></subparagraph></paragraph> <paragraph id="H2CD57450E273469C9FC4E5C29D5470F2"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (1)—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H7B4B734D2DD949AFBD38BCC26AA197BE"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>has completed at least</quote> before <quote>six years</quote>; and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H15324F98F19147E9B1AAF61BA7D54BB6"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking <quote>or</quote>;</text></subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H67EC2C92BB3E4E57B3F0C1EF19D56AB3"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by inserting <quote>has completed at least</quote> before <quote>the years</quote>;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HD8D20644E10740A8A3AC8B3FBE6009B1"><enum>(4)</enum><text>by redesignating paragraph (2) as paragraph (4); and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H24B7E4A36E364BF88B7BC86823971A9B"><enum>(5)</enum><text>by inserting, after paragraph (1), the following new paragraphs:</text> <quoted-block style="USC" id="H12CB4540EC384218B2002213C11429AD" display-inline="no-display-inline"> <paragraph id="HE74232D5F79844918C6059833B04C1E7"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">has completed at least 17 years of service in the Armed Forces;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HC42DE231B25D4C7F8176471FB930DC4B"><enum>(3)</enum><text>is retired from the Armed Forces under <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/10/61">chapter 61</external-xref> of title 10; or</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section> </legis-body></bill>
