<section id="HAAF532FFDC254F7BA0ED38D999AAE2F9" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Affordable Housing Over Mandating Efficiency Standards Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>Affordable HOMES Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H28D698CD94FC4F66A9F10914ABFF9B6A"><enum>2.</enum><header>Repeal of authority to establish standards for manufactured housing</header> <subsection id="H2FCE359368674DD9A963226BFC079371"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Repeal</header> <paragraph id="H290B7D454CBB4882A01060D422E1EC58"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/17071">42 U.S.C. 17071</external-xref>) is amended by striking section 413.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H8EF308F0B3BC4F63AFA2428ACA24DB3E"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The table of contents in section 1(b) of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 is amended by striking the item relating to section 413.</text></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="HED39AA35799345EE892C249A8102FEA0"> <enum>(b)</enum> <header>No force or effect</header> <text>The final rule titled <quote>Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Manufactured Housing</quote> published by the Department of Energy in the Federal Register on May 31, 2022 (87 Fed. Reg. 32728), shall have no force or effect.</text>
