<section id="HC061B4F7286A48AC8ACC16091186F625" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Prohibition on camping on public property in District of Columbia</header> 
<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H9942B8E5B27D455CB88B22DAE1F9C433"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Beginning on and after the date of the enactment of this Act, it shall be unlawful in the District of Columbia to camp outdoors on public property.</text> </subsection> <subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HBDE16A82792B4A5ABE3A1887C32EFA97"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Penalty</header><text>Any person who violates subsection (a) shall be fined not more than $500, imprisoned for not more than 30 days, or both.</text></subsection> 
<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H833DE366F4AC4C67B304941BE586D489"><enum>(c)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Camp defined</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section, the term <quote>camp</quote> means to use any material to set up, maintain, or establish a temporary place of abode.</text></subsection> </section> </legis-body></bill>
