<section id="H53490498C50B4052B0AEB98A4CBEB2FA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Defense Contractor Competition Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HDA314004F1A5401B8007B090AD11E2DC" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Comptroller General assessment of competitive effects of mergers and acquisitions of defense contractors</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct an assessment and submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the competitive effects of mergers and acquisitions of defense contractors during the ten-year period preceding the date of the enactment of this Act that includes—</text> 
<paragraph id="H53F71C1EC5DE41C0B88D3BDE730ECE19"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the effectiveness of any remedy relating to a merger or acquisition of defense contractors on defense industry competition and defense industrial base sustainability;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H90FF83EE8D87430E9D823F6DBC13F536"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the effectiveness of information sharing between the Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Secretary of Defense in the merger and acquisition review process;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H4316A93C40FE4E0782DD53273EFD0C49"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">an analysis of the processes used by the Secretary of Defense for measuring the effect of vertical integration of defense contractors on competition, including data collection and the ability to access information from defense contractors that are parties to the merger or acquisition to assess anticompetitive practices among defense contractors; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H3ADB0E7883D84C578467DB083FF86BE1"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">implementation of previous recommendations of the Comptroller General, the Secretary of Defense, or the Defense Science Board to enhance competition among defense contractors.</text></paragraph></section>
