Short title

This Act may be cited as River’s Law.

2.

Safety requirements for child care providers

Section 658E(c)(2)(I) of the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 9858c(c)(2)(I)) is amended— (1) in clause (i)(XI), by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon; (2) by redesignating clause (ii) as clause (iii); and (3) by inserting after clause (i) the following: (ii) shall include— (I) a prohibition on constructing, maintaining, or otherwise operating a pool on the premises of any facility where such services are provided; and (II) a requirement to install door and window alarms in any facility where such services are provided; and .
