<section id="H419835E363C04EA3979D794C3CD15359" section-type="section-one" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Water Crisis Prevention Act of 2025</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HD2CF3FEB027C4A11859618E4B6969037"><enum>2.</enum><header>GAO review of water infrastructure disasters</header> <subsection id="HB0372EDBBC264F35A5CF8AACB3B1B8B8"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 6 months after the date of enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct a review of the existing funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency that States, localities, individuals, and small businesses are eligible for following a water infrastructure failure, including a water main break, both in instances in which an emergency declaration has been declared and in which an emergency declaration has not been declared.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H9E99EB82D4FC449080874652A50B0CBE"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Upon completion of the study required under subsection (a), the Comptroller General shall submit to Congress a report describing the results of such study, including recommendations for—</text> <paragraph id="H0BDBF6316C464072B7ECC398B8A5C02A"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Federal entities to partner with States to identify areas most at risk of future disasters caused by water infrastructure failure; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H49C1FC36B7DA4DAC9FD2AAE5CDCBC1C7"><enum>(2)</enum><text>ways in which Congress could provide funding to mitigate disasters by addressing water infrastructure most at risk of failure.</text> </paragraph></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
