<section id="H23421DD195FD426583F28334832C5B19" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Extension of emergency period</header> 
<subsection id="HF7921B64D98348B288188B913EA13589">
                <enum>(a)</enum>
                <header>In general</header>
 <text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act (sec. 1–207.40, D.C. Official Code) is amended—</text>
                <paragraph id="H03BDE836C82E472BB6C3E1178F227B02">
                    <enum>(1)</enum>
 <text>by striking <quote>thirty days</quote> and inserting <quote>180 days</quote> each place it appears; and</text>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph id="H92701E4FBDFB45FDACE9ED84FF125D90">
                    <enum>(2)</enum>
 <text>in subsection (c), by striking <quote>thirty-day</quote> and inserting <quote>180-day</quote>.</text>

                <enum>(b)</enum>
                <header>Applicability to previously declared emergency</header>
 <text display-inline="yes-display-inline">This Act, and the amendments made by this Act, shall apply with respect to an emergency declared by the President under section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act (sec. 1–207.40, D.C. Official Code) before the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
