<section id="HF64C1DCC79D3430BB604EF14541AAFA8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Modernize Diplomatic Security Training Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H86CEBAAA22EB439CB681C923714842E1"><enum>2.</enum><header>Additional counterintelligence training</header> 
<subsection id="H4B1EA5C0EA134F6E96F82F4081B88E3B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Addition of training</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Title IV of the Omnibus Diplomatic Security an Antiterrorism Act of 1986 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/4851">22 U.S.C. 4851 et seq.</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following new section:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" id="HC9BA8BC00A2842C2BB2071B30D6C7957" display-inline="no-display-inline"> <section id="H3CB412E4F93F4C7F83D0880E297140D9"><enum>418.</enum><header>Counter-intelligence training for certain Diplomatic Security special agents</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Diplomatic Security special agents (as authorized pursuant to section 37 of the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/2709">22 U.S.C. 2709</external-xref>)) who are assigned to positions with a primary counterintelligence role or assigned to a high risk, high threat post shall receive specific, substantive, mandatory counterintelligence training from the Office of Counterintelligence of the Department of State.</text></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="H6CE267666611428ABF4FB25537C2752D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The table of contents for the Omnibus Diplomatic Security an Antiterrorism Act of 1986 is amended by inserting in numerical sequence the following:</text> <toc regeneration="no-regeneration"> <toc-entry level="section">Sec. 418.
