<section id="H9A1E4D979BC54571AB3FEA2062E8A701" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Epstein Crime Victims Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H301F65783DA2493FB7610E3165005E2F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Enforcement of crime victims rights</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3771 of title 18, United States Code is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H99C41283984D49509A757DD38EFBDD2F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a)(9), by striking <quote>plea bargain or deferred prosecution agreement</quote> and inserting <quote>plea bargain, deferred prosecution agreement, or nonprosecution agreement</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H2B039F93BDB84642888FF1E0767635D8"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (d)—</text> <subparagraph id="H91453177DEE54673A3A3C58D7E275BCB"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in paragraph (6), by striking <quote>Nothing in this chapter</quote> and inserting <quote>Except as provided in paragraph (7), nothing in this chapter</quote>; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H17039D9D3CB1403C8988274931C9749D"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block style="USC" id="H1075052FB6984C78A7727BF0701D7465" display-inline="no-display-inline"> <paragraph id="HF4F34AFA913A45059414EDC9B58DE3B1"><enum>(7)</enum><header>Right of action in the case of failure to notify victim</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If the Government enters a plea bargain or deferred prosecution agreement and fails to notify the victim in a timely manner, as required under subsection (a)(9), the victim shall be permitted to bring an action in an appropriate district court of the United States against the Government to enforce any remaining applicable rights under subsection (a). </text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </subparagraph></paragraph></section>
