<section id="HF427570C9102499A89BD6E2B182AE98D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Emergency Rural Water Response Act of 2025</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H97BE6D2A4E894C4DB7D1C7470E5264B3"><enum>2.</enum><header>Emergency and imminent community water assistance grant program</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 306A of the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/1926a">7 U.S.C. 1926a</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H7E5FA05F0C794CD0A6DEBD68718799E3"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (d)(1)—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H7EE3A89F96A243E68E4C6DA81678F8A5"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by redesignating subparagraphs (C) and (D) as subparagraphs (D) and (E), respectively; and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="HAB9EEDA2D6524447BAC4C5FCB29E21F2"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by inserting after subparagraph (B) the following:</text>

<subparagraph id="HD733A248BE264D21B3BF2DC6A36A501B"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">for associated uses related to water resources infrastructure, including facilities for potable water, wastewater, storm drainage, or solid waste;</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subparagraph></paragraph> <paragraph id="H30D2324FC6044BBDBC32C1BFEA6614FC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (e)(1)(A), by striking <quote>10,000</quote> and inserting <quote>35,000</quote>.</text></paragraph></section>
<section id="HF73359D1405443579B585D47BE95F51C"><enum>3.</enum><header>NPDES permit exemption</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 402(l) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/33/1342">33 U.S.C. 1342(l)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" id="H3EB687B29E4D4729BDB8C88C06AA7148" display-inline="no-display-inline"> <paragraph id="H3281D5A8B83F4128BE29FD8350574711"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Emergency use of portable water treatment and filtration facilities</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">During any 6-month period immediately following a declaration by a State of a disaster or state of emergency, no permit shall be required under this section by the Administrator (or the State, in the case of a permit program approved under subsection (b)) for discharges from a portable water treatment and filtration facility installed in the area covered by the declaration to provide clean water as needed to respond to conditions caused by the event that resulted in the declaration.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </section>
