<section id="HA3B622ACB81B40C2BBCBAD75B9D9EB4B" section-type="section-one" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Don Young American Grown Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H075FAA7105DA4387A1A851F145295BF4"><enum>2.</enum><header>Limitation</header> <subsection id="H9AF1AA84057A4636AF66C5B70E8165B5"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A cut flower or a cut green may not be officially displayed in any public area of a building of the Executive Office of the President or of the Department of State or of the Department of Defense unless the cut flower or cut green is produced in the United States.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H172C396A6D33472E9A2B2538760664C0"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Rule of construction</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The limitation in subsection (a) may not be construed to apply to any cut flower or cut green used by a Federal officer or employee for personal display.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H789433937ACF4323A06FBD3EEB7D638D"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section:</text> 
<paragraph display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA6362C195FD7454A847BDF375A640C73"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Cut flower</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>cut flower</term> means a flower removed from a living plant for decorative use.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HFC0B6715AF8140F8AC5D3AEEA66FE272"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Cut green</header><text>The term <term>cut green</term> means a green, foliage, or branch removed from a living plant for decorative use.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H4BD49B9C04DA44E6AFDA0208F256847B"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Produced in the United States</header><text>The term <term>produced in the United States</term> means grown in—</text> <subparagraph id="H4E62D17C0A5E44CC9ACE5F40F9096128"><enum>(A)</enum><text>any of the several States;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HC705C542F4654A38AA4544044A2C2C4C"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the District of Columbia;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H7394BBE67FC4463391A7EB8C0C4E160B"><enum>(C)</enum><text>a territory or possession of the United States; or</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HB0951312F0CF48788C175CDDF2AEC0EE"><enum>(D)</enum><text>an area subject to the jurisdiction of a federally recognized Indian Tribe.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H3C0206A3A2104A9FA4E2BAB2A39A4C70"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>This Act shall take effect on the date that is 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section>
