<section id="H7CB957B39C084BEFA99F5CA892FEFFD3" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Faithful Patriot Campaign Medal Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H0DD1926FF6674FD68656FC2D05E69C89"><enum>2.</enum><header>Faithful Patriot Campaign Medal</header> <subsection id="H31ACAD210F944CD996B262B10AA6E67F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Service medal required</header><text>The Secretary of Defense shall design and produce a military service medal, to be known as the <quote>Faithful Patriot Campaign Medal</quote>, to honor members of the Armed Forces and veterans who served on the border of the United States with Mexico in the course of Operation Faithful Patriot or a subsequent operation at such border.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H27D5B2EF596D4305BCFB2317E0C6E1A2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Distribution of medal</header> 
<paragraph id="H2B92352CB76B4CC285AFD86241509E24"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Issuance to retired and former members</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">At the request of an individual described in subsection (a), the Secretary of Defense shall issue the Faithful Patriot Campaign Medal to such individual.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HF2D81D95A82F4A4A840D369558022F85"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Issuance to next-of-kin</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In the case of an individual described in subsection (a) who is deceased, the Secretary may provide for issuance of the Faithful Patriot Campaign Medal to the next-of-kin of the individual.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H0C755BC014A3494CBC8C435C677C47CA"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Application</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall prepare and disseminate as appropriate an application by which individuals described in subsection (a) and their next-of-kin may apply to receive the Faithful Patriot Campaign Medal.</text></paragraph></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
