<section id="H3BEB033685784AF196EC8A6A2EED6978" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short Title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>FEMA Cybersecurity Improvement Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H73A8E99D07CC428EB5FB1BB7DBA71137"><enum>2.</enum><header>Mitigating cybersecurity risks</header> <subsection id="H321066AD866B45DE96756FB4DB600A76"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (a) of section 523 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/6/321l">6 U.S.C. 321l</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="HE8F0C723525547F083F1FB717F35419B"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking <quote>as of the day before the date of the enactment of this section,</quote>;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HB1C7921D111E4704B02912D15FB4FC7E"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by redesignating paragraphs (3) through (8) as paragraphs (4) through (9), respectively; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H3CC0161EB4E648BE882E67E3B0B2DEFB"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by inserting after paragraph (2) the following new paragraph:</text> <quoted-block style="OLC" id="H58C9B569A9554BDEB56459BD04BB5B1C" display-inline="no-display-inline"> <paragraph id="HDA8F940C804B44D09D3862574ADC91C2"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">mitigating cybersecurity risks (as such term is defined in section 2200) that could impede Agency operations;</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HFAF29BA0609249559ABE0309D62600EC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Plan for FEMA cybersecurity</header><text>Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this section, the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, in consultation with the Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, shall submit to the Committee on Homeland Security and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate a report on the progress of Agency efforts to mitigate cybersecurity risks within the Agency in accordance with paragraph (3) of section 523(a) of the Homeland Security Act of 2002, as amended by subsection (a).</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
