<section id="H025CF11A46C042669E689B75C96E69D8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Student Loan Contract Act of 2025</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H7402CEFDB1E3440C96423D1EA203E1E3"><enum>2.</enum><header>Student loan contract and loan disclosures</header> <subsection id="HCD144847079D403D8F3F21106DC7813A"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Student loan contract</header><text>Section 432(m)(1)(D) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/20/1082">20 U.S.C. 1082(m)(1)(D)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>

<clause id="H2C9364B13986403EA20CD85D0C1D4E64"><enum>(iv)</enum><header>Student loan contract</header> 
<subclause id="H9ABC56E3AA0B4EC29ED6E95FA93EDC5C"><enum>(I)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Any master promissory note form described in this subparagraph that is developed or used for loans made under part D for periods of enrollment beginning on or after the date of enactment of the <short-title>Student Loan Contract Act of 2025</short-title> shall be referred to as a <quote>student loan contract</quote>.</text></subclause> <subclause id="HA459FB6B5D82408D93A81CAD035DB185"><enum>(II)</enum><header>Clarification on use</header><text>A student loan contract for loans made under part D for a student shall only be used with respect to loans made under part D for the periods of enrollment that are in the same award year for which the initial loans for which the contract is used were made.</text></subclause></clause><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="H66069D0534F249749A415B5F7E24C7AD"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming amendments</header><text>Section 485(l)(2)(B) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/20/1092">20 U.S.C. 1092(l)(2)(B)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting before the period at the end the following: <quote>or the student loan contract</quote>.</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
