<section id="HA43C8F5F0CC1444B816241A702D6C212" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>National Capital Planning Commission District of Columbia Home Rule Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H3187E86EE4C7477ABA337931EEB331EB"><enum>2.</enum><header>Removal of the authority of the National Capital Planning Commission with respect to property owned by the District</header> <subsection id="H4E8D76F1FED54C40B88CA203CDEE8329"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Recommendation of the Commission for transfers of jurisdiction of property</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 8124 of title 40, United States Code, is amended—</text> 
<paragraph display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H199BF0DBE8264A00A83BFFCBF3D014EA"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a), by amending the second sentence to read as follows: <quote>In the case of a transfer among Federal authorities or a transfer between Federal and District of Columbia authorities, the National Capital Planning Commission shall recommend the transfer before it is completed.</quote>; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HB4A53AA2913843AFB3651D226A3E0856"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking subsection (b) and redesignating subsection (c) as subsection (b).</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HC433DFC306E5429690D02CE935ED8E07"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Approval of the Commission for proposed developments and projects</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 8722 of title 40, United States Code, is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H7F01EDC2349146818BAE8EFA47C1344C"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in the section heading, by striking <quote><header-in-text level="section" style="USC">and district</header-in-text></quote>;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HA4E098E4339D44379DABA4148B33ABEC"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (a), by striking <quote>and District of Columbia governmental</quote> each place it appears;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HB276328D48FC473499FE15BBA95F8111"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in the first sentence of subsection (b)(1)—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H732B0AD31BD54F668CA03926AA8A95F3"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>or District of Columbia</quote>; and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H95FB2C820735446A8B51A473A32E20CA"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>or District</quote>;</text></subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H1B0078D5E62A41C4941C3337F8898C67"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (c)(1), by striking <quote>and District</quote>; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HA72E8DBB71C540E8A78E7B186AA52A9A"><enum>(5)</enum><text>by striking subsection (e).</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HFBA214A51A6048D5A82FC0BA3CD03258"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Approval of the Commission To sell land</header> 
<paragraph id="H07873E14860844C7845240399820D5FB"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Title 40, United States Code, is amended by striking section 8734.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H37E80D474BF84DB3B3BFF446A002308E"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The table of sections at the beginning of subchapter IV of <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/40/87">chapter 87</external-xref> of title 40, United States Code, is amended by striking the item relating to section 8734.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HB4A99C8AA779412791E4A080512A0E4D"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Effective Date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by this section shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
