<section id="HADB39589078647DA907E4A2AD5E66E3C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Curbing Offenses on Policing Services Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>COPS Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="HD2248447F6084F22ADBB4AAC40828F3C"><enum>2.</enum><header>Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 111 of title 18, United States Code, is amended—</text> <paragraph id="HD114ED8D704E4F659CEACD90BB06E9A8"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a)—</text>
<subparagraph id="HF2DEA6215D6F45D99253DEAA1949B5AA"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking <quote>under this title</quote> and inserting <quote>up to $200,000</quote>;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H98D4F453D47E43C696ADA9CA91430EA4"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking <quote>one year</quote> and inserting <quote>two years</quote>; and</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="HBBDD0285F4AC41EC8619BC18509C1E35"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by striking <quote>8 years</quote> and inserting <quote>10 years</quote>; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph> <paragraph id="HDEFA636EDF254C3CA244A1B56B24F36A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (b)—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H8E877C68F5AD423FA7BB72A4E2E40AC5"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by inserting after <quote>including</quote> the following: <quote>explosive materials, as defined in section 841, or</quote>;</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H2D03330E75E0436CB3F2A78AC4C0BAA0"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking <quote>shall be fined under this title</quote> and inserting <quote>shall be fined up to $500,000, notwithstanding section 3571,</quote>; and</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="HAB9380838A2D4CC3B872AE38BF667183"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by striking <quote>20 years</quote> and inserting <quote>25 years</quote>.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></section> </legis-body></bill>
